After dying from overwork, a strategy-game player awakens as Callix Crome, a minor lord with money but little power. He decides the safest path is to become a beloved yet harmlessly incompetent ruler, only for every attempt to squander his wealth and avoid responsibility to make his territory prosper and his followers mistake him for a genius.
