“Haaah—it’s finally coming to an end.”

Elrand, a fourth-year student in the Magic Department of Elterion Academy, gazed out at the campus and muttered softly.

He had only a few months left to live here.

Some people might grow sentimental, calling it the final page of their youth, but Elrand’s student life had been far from nothing but happiness.

And for good reason: the past four years had been one continuous struggle for survival.

When he entered the Magic Department, he had felt as though he had the whole world in his hands.

But that happiness ended after a single day—the day of the entrance ceremony.

On the first day of lectures, he was shocked to see them teaching intermediate magic theory as though it were the basics.

Low-level magic was apparently “something you should obviously know how to use.”...
