Sephiroth's Call

After waking up the next morning, I made my way to meet Sephiroth.

I wasn't sure what she wanted to talk about, but she wouldn't have called me without a good reason, because I knew her personality.

The Destination, perhaps out of consideration for me, was a Cafe near my Studio Apartment. More precisely, it was a Private Room inside the Cafe.

After all, if we were to talk in an open space, we'd attract too much attention. Sometimes, being the center of attention can be quite inconvenient.

Good heavens, I learned thanks to this that cafes nowadays even have secret rooms. I don't recall such things existing in my past life... It seems the world has changed, and with it, these differences have emerged.

“Or maybe...? Was I just an outcast in my past life, so I never saw such things?”

Such a grim Reality briefly crossed my mind, but regardless, the existence of a Secret Room was a good thing. I tidied myself up and left my room. Walking through the city center under the bright sunlight, I suddenly felt all eyes on me.

...Hmm.

I was used to people glancing at me, but today, their gazes were particularly intense. Exaggerating only slightly, I felt like their gazes were burning holes through me. Even though I was quite accustomed to being stared at, it felt a little burdensome.
