Nikki Tanesia: While most Manifestors had difficult lives, hers was particularly tragic.

Her Noble background alone was unusual. Nobles in Gaia didn't wield immense power, but they certainly lived affluent lives.

The greater the fall, the deeper the pain. From a cherished daughter of a prestigious house, she plummeted to a street vagrant and criminal overnight. There's no need to elaborate on her suffering then.

Even the reason she was cast out wasn't a warm one, such as wishing for her survival. As members of a Noble Family, they were reluctant to reveal that 'Demon's Blood' ran in their veins.

The moment it was revealed that their daughter was a Manifestor, their family could be branded as ill-omened. While Manifestor Perception is better now, just a few years ago, being discovered meant a death sentence. Naturally, public opinion would turn against them.

The Tanesia Family, unwilling to surrender her to the Knight Order and unable to kill their own daughter, made a more cruel choice. They disowned a naive, 10-year-old child and threw her out onto the cold streets.

There's no need to speak of what emotions she felt, abandoned by her parents like that.

It would be too tedious and pedantic. There was no need to dwell on negative things.

One thing was certain, though: Nikki couldn't possibly have good feelings towards her parents.
