I look at what's before me.

A massive figure looms over us, looking down from a pose that might be arms crossed—or bound; I can't tell.

I know this.

No, it would be stranger if I didn't.

In <Dark Fantasy Saga>, there are things called random encounters.

Random encounters that appear after a boss fight or a battle with mobs.

Random monsters that usually appear under the name "Fragments of the Outer Gods."

Needless to say, they were brutally difficult—and guaranteed to raise your blood pressure.

Randomness could send you to heaven one moment and plunge you into the abyss the next.

Of course, the rewards were just as outstanding as the difficulty...
