As usual, Duke came to Grace’s embassy.

‘It should be about time for the holy knights to return...’

He’d been in close contact with Peter, who said they’d likely reach the capital in about three days.

‘It’ll be hard to play Go every day once the holy knights return.’

For now, with no one watching and the pretext of an escort detail, he could come and go every day, but that would all end once they returned.

‘Go was fun, though.’

Duke liked battlefields filled with adrenaline and the scent of blood, but he also liked Go, which reminded him of battlefields.

In that sense, his games with Grace had been thoroughly enjoyable.
