Another Misunderstanding

Looking at the deliciously prepared dishes made my mouth water. There was steaming, glistening meat, along with various greens, tofu, and other mildly seasoned side dishes that complemented the red jjageuri.

"Jiyeon, have your skills improved even more?"

"Really? I just made it the way I usually do."

"This is even tastier than what you used to make at home."

Junsu oppa and Juyeon unnie were amazed that Jiyeon unnie's cooking skills had improved so much.

"How is it? Does it suit your tastes, Jia?"

"Yes. Your cooking always has that special touch, so it's delicious, unnie."

"I'm glad, hehe."

It wasn't empty praise; it was true. I could tell from watching her cook that she had used very little seasoning or anything like MSG to add flavor. She hadn't used any flavoring oil at all, and there were no secret ingredients in her recipe or anything she had done secretly, yet the food tasted even better than something from a famous restaurant.

Junsu oppa and Jiyeon unnie silently picked up their spoons and began eating steadily. They kept eating without saying a word about how delicious it was. I had been eating unnie's cooking regularly, so perhaps I'd become hooked on food that grew tastier by the day...
