Screams echoed from all directions. Somewhere, Fire Arrows were shot into the air, and explosions boomed.

Xenia didn't know what to do. She had been preparing for a confrontation with Dopplers, but what in the world was this?

She had thought they could still fight, that things couldn't get any worse, but that belief was shattered. Claridium had truly become an unredeemable hell.

She tried to recall the exact name of the Wyvern-class Magical Beast before her, but her mind wouldn't cooperate. She fumbled through her memories from beastology class, recalling how magical beast species were categorized by tail shape, scale patterns, and the presence or absence of horns, but only one thought came to mind.

Wyvern-class Magical Beasts could crush a person to death with just the strength of their talons.

“Kelyzard? Wyvern?”

Hailey shouted into the ear of Xenia, who was muttering the monster's name in a daze.
