"Thank you for taking the time to meet with me."

Following the man's guidance, I joined him at the table where he had been sitting.

He must have been deeply engrossed in his research, as numerous books were stacked like towers on the table.

I could tell that most of them were related to Outer Gods by looking at the books whose covers hadn't fallen off yet.

The man gathered and organized the books scattered in front of my seat on the table, cleared his throat once, and placed his interlocked hands on the table.

"I apologize for greeting you in such an unsightly state. I am known by the alias 'Sage', and I study mysticism."

Sage, huh.

Not in the sense of a saint or holy person, but perhaps a name using the character for "accomplish" (成).

I suppose this is being interpreted in a way that's easy for me to understand.

"I've often thought about meeting you whenever I heard about Lord Tanton's recent achievements."...
