Just the Two of Us in the Cave♡

Thanks to the faint blue light emitted by the bioluminescent fungi, the cavern wasn’t completely dark.

I lowered my smartphone and slowly took in the wondrous sight of nature.

Like moonlight filtering through water, a hazy, cool light shimmered across the floor.

"Wow."

A gasp of admiration escaped me before I knew it.

There was a pool of water in the middle of the cavern.

It was strangely clear for what seemed to be nothing more than a stagnant pool. Vito and I carefully approached the edge.

At first, I thought I could see the bottom, but beneath the surface, at a certain depth, something like a transparent membrane was wavering.

What was that?

"Can only I see that?"...
