The Basketball-Club Middle School Girl Has a Lovely Smile

It was Sunday, and the summer heat was really starting to set in.

The cicadas were getting pretty annoying, too.

With nothing in particular to do after waking up, I’d been cooped up at home.

“It’s so hot...”

It’s seriously too hot!

I do have an air conditioner in my room, but I try to save on electricity, so I usually leave it off.

I could tell myself it’s hot enough to justify turning it on, but summer’s only just begun. If I turn it on every time it gets this hot, I’ll be in trouble later.

“...Maybe I’ll go outside.”

You could say it’s even hotter outside. Maybe so, but it’s a matter of mindset.
