I look down the passageway.
Ah, it lit up again.
There are still far too many things I don't understand about magic.
I'll leave everything alone for now.
I don't have the luxury of worrying about it right now.
For now, I'll sit down and rest for a little while.
When I sit down and think, all sorts of things run through my mind.
This world, this place, the cursed shadows, magic...
There are too many of them. If I start questioning every little thing, I'll definitely die here.
...I don't even know whether the shadows are really curses.
But if you ask whether thinking about it will get me an answer... no way.
Then I'll just call them curses.
Since I can deal with them that way, I'll think about it again if that stops working.
There's just one thing bothering me.
I don't know why, but I can't help wondering about the wolves lying down near me.
They've definitely gotten healthier.
When I first met them, they were staggering around. Now, they don't seem to be staggering anymore.
The one dog mixed in with them is, too.
They haven't eaten anything.
They've been with me the whole time since I met them.
So why have they gotten better?
Since they're right beside me, I can't help but wonder.
Even so, I suppose this is something I'll leave alone, too.
I can't figure it out no matter how much I think about it.
...
Take a deep breath.
Let's sort things out for now.
What I need right now is a safe place to sleep, water, and food.
I'll start by getting the things absolutely essential to staying alive.
I will survive!
I've been dragged into something I can't even understand. I'm not about to die!
And speaking of what I need, the first is a place where I can feel safe.
This cave is one possibility.
If I put up a barrier at the entrance, I should be able to sleep safely, at least for now.
The barrier will even attack them for me.
Then there's... the problem of those shadows that bothers me.
The entrance is still glowing, which means the shadows are slipping in from somewhere.
I can't feel safe until I deal with this problem first.
First, I want to purify all the shadows throughout this cave, at the very least.
This is for my own peace of mind.
Seeing the shadows makes me uneasy.
I absolutely have to do something about them.
I won't be able to drive out the shadows unless I know the cave's entire layout.
I wonder if Spatial Perception can show me the whole thing?
I have no choice but to try.
"Spatial Perception."
It seems to have worked, but... the shadows are too dense to see through.
The shadows' influence is too strong.
But it seems there are spaces in this cave besides the two.
Somehow, I can tell that much.
Hmm... I wonder if I can see the whole cave from outside?
"Spatial Perception."
...Looks like it failed.
Spatial Perception can't show me the whole thing; it only works inside?
To see farther away, I probably need Farsight or Clairvoyance.
Which one is easier to visualize?
Farsight means imagining looking at something far away, right?
Maybe that's not quite right.
What I want is magic that lets me view the cave from above or from the side.
I'll try Clairvoyance.
To look at it from the side and move around freely... Ah, footage from a drone.
I saw it on TV, and it moved around and filmed from pretty much any angle, right?
I'll try using the drone I remember as the image itself.
The sunset displayed on its monitor was beautiful, too.
"Clairvoyance."
That freaked me out.
A monitor-like thing suddenly appeared right in front of me.
And what's displayed on it is a rocky mountain. So it worked, but it still scared the hell out of me!
