I looked around the cave.
The first, almost rectangular space I entered had three entrances.
One led through a passage to the space where the bird had been.
Another led through a passage to a space about the same size as the first cave.
The last was an entrance to the outside.
The newly discovered space was also almost rectangular, with two entrances.
This time, there was no passage; the next space began immediately beyond the entrance.
That space had only one entrance.
There was only one opening from the cave to the outside.
I felt a little reassured about security.
Moreover, I checked with Drone Clairvoyance and found that my location was near the top of the rocky mountain.
Anyone attacking me would have to run all the way up the rocky mountain.
...I climbed this rocky mountain myself, didn't I?
Hmm? Maybe I should be a little worried about security?
Well, there's only one entrance into the cave, so it should be fine.
I returned to the innermost space of the cave where the bird had been and sat down on a rock.
My body was somehow brimming with energy, and I didn't feel tired.
But mentally, I was exhausted.
It must have been a whirlwind of a day.
What time is it?
I don't know.
For now... I've found a place where I can sleep.
What next...
...
No good.
...
"Haaah..."
I've always lived in safe Japan, after all...
All sorts of worries crossed my mind.
Since waking up in this world, I've left every problem unresolved and focused only on whatever was right in front of me.
Given my personality, if I stop moving, I don't know whether I'll be able to start again.
At the very least, I have to secure a safe place.
My body was trembling faintly.
Looking back over everything that had happened, I had to admit that scary things were scary.
I couldn't gather my thoughts.
What should I do?
What am I supposed to do?
...
I want to go home~
I want to go home, too~
...
I want to go home.
My consciousness was suddenly pulled back.
I felt warmth and weight on my thigh.
When I looked down, I saw the wolf I'd met first.
Its eyes were closed contentedly.
When I stroked its head... its throat rumbled with a purr.
"Heh... You're wild, aren't you?"
At my words, it glanced up at me.
You're cute. You know what you're doing~
"It can't be helped, whether I think it over, panic, or despair."
I calmed down.
It was thanks to the wolf resting its head on my thigh.
Is this healing...? What a ferocious-looking source of comfort.
