Going Limp... Collapse

Considering everything that’s happened so far, it probably wouldn’t open that easily.

But just in case, I put my hand on the lid and tried pushing it.

“...It’s opening?”

The lid slid sideways without a sound.

I hadn’t expected it to open, so all the tension left my body.

I thought back to the barrier and the mechanism that absorbed magic power on the way here.

And then it ends with this?

I should have been happy, but somehow I felt let down.

I know that’s selfish of me.
