Working with Wood... Fine Adjustments Are Difficult.

A huge tree befitting this forest stands before me.

That huge tree, however, is standing there in an odd state.

I used magic to process it into boards to lay across the floor.

Where did I go wrong?

The tree before me has had its bark stripped, and I think it has probably been dried, too.

My hazy recollection of how wood is processed.

Strip the bark, dry it, and cut it to the required thickness.

Drying is supposed to be the important part.

I pictured it as-is... and this is how it turned out.

The bark has been stripped, and although I can't tell just by looking, the wood has been dried and cut to a thickness of 25 cm...
