After finishing today’s training.
I was turning in the pendant I’d found at a place beside the headquarters entrance that served as something like a guard post for the Knights’ Order.
Apparently, it was a department that combined security for the headquarters with a help desk for public inquiries. A few knights were stationed there in relatively casual clothes, but when I came in, they all straightened up.
No, there’s no need to be so nervous. I just came to turn in something I found.
Training was going well, including for the knights currently at the guard post.
Of course, their skills weren’t going to improve dramatically in such a short time. Still, it seemed there were things someone like me could teach them, and I felt I was spending my time productively. Hembritz-kun was getting sharper by the day, too.
On the other hand, I’d hit my ceiling for now.
I could say that I’d spent more time than most training since I was little. Even so, I hadn’t become a hero or a champion, one of those sorts of people...
