Chapter 17
Chapter 17: Defeating the Villain
If I rape the Divine Sword's sister here, maybe I can become a Divine Sword User too?
G-get away! No!
For a moment, unknown memories flashed through my mind, making me want to vomit.
I barely regained my senses and looked at him.
After his Phase 1 was pathetically destroyed, Kim Seung-joon's body was truly a monster, broken all over. "Mutant" would be the right description.
Even Choi Si-woo would probably say this looks disgusting.
"Ugh, this is gross. What is that? His body's all broken."
"He got even more disgusting?"
"What kind of appearance is that? Bbeum-mi is so scared!"
When the women stared at him with looks reserved for the filthiest things in the world, that monster finally stood up again.
"Gi-kieeeeeeek! Kukukuk. This is the power of the Black God Church! This isn't the end! I will evolve further! Now, watch! The moment I emerge from this cocoon! I will kill all of you!"
As he declared his evolution, black threads started wrapping around his body, taking the form of a cocoon.
He definitely gets stronger in Phase 2. The girls already had a hard time, and when Phase 2 starts, they might get raped by that pervert goblin.
Can't let that happen.
"That crazy bastard. Shouldn't we run out and call the instructor?"
"Hawawa. Bbeum-mi doesn't want to die!"
"How would we have time to call anyone? He'll finish evolving or whatever before then?"
"W-wait, Yoo Eun-ha? Don't go! It's dangerous!"
[Disgusting. Disgusting. Disgusting. Gross. Gross. Gross.]
I'm starting to get used to that text. One thing's for sure - I won't feel better until I kill this bastard.
Evolution? Who's giving him time to evolve? Does he not know that transformation time is DPS time for enemies?
So I stabbed my magic-nullifying sword into his cocoon made of magic power.
Shunk!
"Gak!? What is this sword- Coward! Attacking while I'm evolving!"
What do you expect me to do? Trash not worth keeping alive.
While the frog was struggling with the sword stuck in him, I grabbed what looked like a goblin's helmet and scooped up oil puddles scattered around to pour on this gross frog-goblin-whatever thing.
"N-no way? You bitch! Coward! Despicable! You should at least wait! Gak!?"
Without a word, I mercilessly drove the sword deeper into him.
Then I took out my lighter and flicked it on.
Only then did he seem to realize what was happening and shook his head.
"Y-Yoo Eun-ha! I'm sorry! I made a mistake! Spare me! I'll never come at you again! No! Don't throw that!"
"If you came to kill, you should've been ready to die yourself."
I threw the lighter.
When it hit his body already soaked in oil, he started catching fire.
Whoosh!
"Kyaaaaaaaaah! Y-you evil bitch! You despicable bitch! In that case, I won't die alone! Die! Yoo Eun-ha!"
While being burned alive and having already lost his chance to evolve, that monster tried to lunge at me again, but a spear flew in from somewhere and pinned him to the wall.
"Kuhek!"
"Still, I got the finishing blow, right?"
As Han Soo-ji flashed a victory smile, the monster struggled to pull out the sword and spear while pinned to the wall, but failed.
Eventually that monster burned until he turned to ashes.
Only after he became a pile of ash did my head clear up, as if freed from that filthy nightmare possessing my mind.
My vision went dark from using too much power.
At a time when I needed a cigarette, I pulled one from my pocket and put it in my mouth.
"Ah, the lighter."
Belatedly realizing I thoughtlessly threw away my lighter, I cursed myself as I lost consciousness.

Korean Hunter Association
The previous protagonist Yoo Jin-seok was having another busy day.
Though Yoo Jin-seok had previously stopped the Gate in Pyongyang and essentially saved the world from falling into hell, that didn't mean Monsters had disappeared.
He's quite rich now so he could retire from being a Hunter if he wanted, but driven by his sense of justice, the first generation Divine Sword User Yoo Jin-seok was returning today after hunting Monsters.
Then suddenly a colleague from the administrative office approached with a grin.
"Hey, Jin-seok, your sister did something big?"
"What do you mean?"
"Apparently there was this Mutant from the Black God Church named Kim Seung-joon in Hanseong Academy's freshman Class A, and Yoo Eun-ha took care of him."
"Is that true?"
"That's what they're saying! As expected of your sister. Well anyway, shouldn't you praise your sister as her oppa?"
The colleague working at the Association office handed Yoo Jin-seok documents summarizing the Mutant incident from the practice Dungeon.
Yoo Jin-seok had trouble processing this suspicious information.
He definitely wiped out the Black God Church years ago. Were there still survivors?
If they're active again, it means they've recovered their forces somewhat. This is becoming a headache.
'Come to think of it, that Eun-ha.'
Something's strange. He'd been worried since he couldn't pay attention to her lately and basically neglected her, but suddenly she took down a Mutant?
His colleagues all confirmed it, and apparently Yoo Eun-ha herself collapsed and is in the Hunter hospital.
'How the hell?'
This is awkward to say, but Eun-ha just played games in her room all day. She was an immature kid. But now she's attending Hanseong Academy and caught a Mutant?
Maybe Kim Ji-hye taught her? No, that can't be it. Awkward to say as a colleague, but Kim Ji-hye has no talent for teaching kids.
Then Rebecca? No, not her either. Their fields are completely different to begin with.
'Come to think of it, it's been a while since I saw her. Maybe I should visit her in the hospital.'

So it's a new story for a disqualified heroine! Like DLC?
This is a novel, you know.
Then let's call it a side story. Hahaha. And there's something you don't know.
Another beep- sound. Fuck, that's filtered too.
Hahaha. I just don't like swearing. Anyway, you know what? This isn't a novel or a dream.
What?
This is reality.
Cut the beep- bullshit.
Ahaha. Anyway, you know what? When you're always under threat of death in this time-limited world, the only one who suffers from not recognizing reality is yourself. Understand? So wake up now.
Annoying voices wake me from sleep.
Will I be dozing off at work as usual when I wake up?
Or collapsed in front of my monitor while reading web novels.
One thing's for sure - the smell entering my nose is different from a man in his early 30s' home or office.
I slowly opened my eyes.
"...An unfamiliar ceiling."
A neat checkered ceiling with a humidifier visible in the corner of my vision.
Up to here, I could still make the ridiculous guess that I collapsed from overwork and was hospitalized.
But then I saw my slender hands and white skin and felt disappointed.
The boundary between dream and reality is getting blurry. Maybe I was Yoo Eun-ha from the start. Maybe that ordinary man stretched out in company life and daily routine was just something I imagined.
"I don't know. Let's sleep more."
Muscle pain is hitting my body. I need to sleep.
Glancing around, that man in a suit catching my eye was now quite detailed in his actions.
Holding a teacup. That's probably not real tea either.
No need to think more. I just pulled the blanket up deep.
I am one with the blanket. This is the connection between you and me-
So I tried to sleep more, but the world won't leave me alone.
"Yoo Eun-ha."
An unwelcome voice. An instinctive unpleasantness.
Is this the voice of that guy called oppa.
This guy is basically the original model for Choi Si-woo.
Actually I'd like to meet him since he's the previous protagonist, but it's annoying. I just want to sleep well right now.
"Sigh, I know you still hate this oppa. I didn't expect sending you to Hanseong Academy to make you a better person would turn out like this. I'm truly sorry about that."
If you understand then leave. Let me sleep.
"When I heard you defeated a Mutant, I was so surprised. I was happy but still, my sister facing such things...blah blah blah."
So fucking noisy.
"After this incident, the Hunter Guild is keeping an eye on you...this oppa doesn't want you to become a Hunter, just stay healthy...mumble mumble mumble."
There's something I'm genuinely curious about.
Are the heroines who like such a talkative bastard in their right minds?
He even talks more than Choi Si-woo. No, that guy at least understands what people say. But this guy is selfish no matter what others say.
Anyway my ears are rotting. This isn't even middle-aged women gossiping.
After rambling on for a while, Yoo Jin-seok sighed.
"I'm sorry about this month so I put in plenty of living expenses. Take care of yourself. I'll be going now."
Thud
That damn human finally left.
I thought I was going to die trying to recite all 4 verses of the national anthem in my head.
But from what that guy just said, seems like videos of me catching the Mutant have spread.
I checked the Hunter community on my phone.
Somehow my video fighting Mutant Kim Seung-joon was already trending.
Clicking on it, it was a video of me taking down Kim Seung-joon. From the filming angle, it must be Bbeum-mi.
The spear Han Soo-ji threw at the end must have been edited out since the battle showed only me fighting and finishing it.
The problem is my words while killing Kim Seung-joon became an iconic quote.
["If you came to kill, you should've been ready to die yourself"]
-Real fucking badass quote.
-Weren't they classmates though? Killed without hesitation?
-Is the guy above an idiot? Black God Church has a kill-on-sight order, remember? Are you from the Black God Church?
-But couldn't they have kept him alive?
-Fuck, they said Yoo Eun-ha collapsed after the fight. It wasn't a situation where she could spare him. This is why newbies are.
-Heung. Burn me too noona.
Most reactions on the Hunter community praised me while some questioned if killing was necessary.
But there are no negative comments. The Black God Church's evil deeds were already known to the world. They often suicide bomb when caught in Korea so they have kill-on-sight orders.
What about the Hanseong Academy anonymous community?
Title: Yoo Eun-ha is definitely les for real
Reina and Han Soo-ji said she fought to protect them.
-Why? Hanseong Academy has lots of lesbians but why protect just those two?
-Fuck. Look at the comment above. Are there only lesbians in this Academy? Give us male students a chance.
-lol you're still just a freshman newbie.
-Isn't she getting too much attention just for being Yoo Jin-seok's sister?
Here my lesbian rumors are daily gossip.
As I started gaining attention at Hanseong Academy, some people trying to check me started appearing.
Probably sophomores and juniors. Among the freshmen, how many would dare look down on me?
"Ah whatever. Let them talk."
Knock knock
While I was rolling around under the hospital blanket, this time a guy who looked like he had ashes sprinkled on his head appeared.
That unique hair color could only be Si-woo.
Look at this bastard just barging into a girl's hospital room.
"Yo. Yoo Eun-ha."
"Sigh. Today I keep seeing Divine Sword Users."
"Don't tell me Senior Yoo Jin-seok came too?"
This guy. Look at that. Skips Academy but his eyes sparkle at mention of Yoo Jin-seok.
"Yeah, you bastard. Why did you skip out? We could've caught him faster if you were there."
"Ah, sorry. I had something to do."
Something to do? What the hell kind of something? Think I'll forgive you for showing up late with an apologetic gesture?
Unless your parents died, you should have shown up even for the original story's sake.
But you didn't show up. Just how strong are you really? Even if things are different from the original, Kim Seung-joon appearing must have been a trial for you.
"I bought strawberry smoothies so forgive me just this once. I really had unavoidable circumstances. I bought cream puffs too."
Smoothies?
"I'll let it slide just this once?"
Let's put the circumstances aside and agree to forgive just once.
"First of all, from what I found out, this incident has spread quite a bit around the Academy."
"How much time has passed?"
"It's already been 3 days?"
I woke up after 3 days, and right then Yoo Jin-seok and this guy appeared?
How honored I am to see the previous and current protagonists as soon as I open my eyes.
Once Choi Si-woo started talking, he spewed all the useless things I already knew.
Like the Black God Church's revival, or Mutants appearing near the Academy.
"So recently the Association is keeping an eye on Hanseong Academy. Since a Mutant appeared."
"Really?"
"So I was thinking, could I protect you for a while? You live alone too."
Is this bastard trying to hit on me? Because I'm a heroine? Even if the original changed, you want to protect me because I'm a heroine?
Sigh. Trying to seduce me like this. Hopeless.
Sorry but my heart still likes women. And. This guy is supposed to make full contact with the Association after dealing with Kim Seung-joon.
Meaning this isn't the time to worry about me.
Huh? But I caught Kim Seung-joon? What happens to him now?
"Actually I somehow got to know the Black Dragon Guild."
"Isn't the Black Dragon Guild famous for their intelligence network?"
They're a small-medium Hunter Guild but they're elite so their combat power is incredible, and they know information even major corporate guilds don't.
Their unique abilities all have reconnaissance and tracking as basics.
If Choi Si-woo couldn't connect with the Association while I was fighting Kim Seung-joon and connected with the Black Dragon Guild instead, I can understand.
"From what the Black Dragon Guild found out, the Black God Church will attack Hanseong Academy soon."
Huh?
"Kim Seung-joon was probably just a low-level member, and next time a stronger one will appear."
Wait. Even the Black Dragon Guild shouldn't know that info at this point when they don't know the Black God Church's hideout?
"I couldn't take care of you this time, but next time I'll definitely protect you."
But how do you know that?
