Chapter 22

Chapter 22: A Huge Misunderstanding

Watching Reina and Han Soo-ji's performance and my own incompetence sent me into post-nut clarity.

"I think it's time for me to let you all go. Go forth and prosper."

"Huh?"

"No, nevermind. Keep fighting hard."

Why am I seriously this weak?

I feel it deep in my bones every time I watch these kids fight.

Les or whatever, at this rate I'm worried I'll just become a female love doll to satisfy Reina, Han Soo-ji, and Lee Yoo-jeong's sexual urges.

Come to think of it, Divine Sword Si-woo said he trained Reina and Han Soo-ji.

That means they're stronger than in the original.

Honestly I still suspect regression, but considering various factors, the Ancient Heritage also makes sense.

Maybe I can just bow out?

Maybe it's fine if I'm weak? If Si-woo is strong enough, I won't die anyway.

"What are you thinking about so hard?"

There's also the option of quietly fading into the background among the heroines.

Besides, right now I'm just on mob cleanup duty.

If you're going to possess a body like this, at least give it some good abilities. Stimpak is a bit much isn't it.

"Hiyaah!"

Reina let out a battle cry as she fired a Spirit Arrow that hit the Golem's eye.

The Golem froze for a moment before shutting down. Taking advantage of the opening, Han Soo-ji's Flame of Purification Spear pierced the Golem's eye and burned it.

Crackle crackle!

Lee Yoo-jeong had been using Electronic Warfare continuously, so she was going to sit out until the boss room.

I didn't expect a C-Class dungeon to crumble this easily thanks to Electronic Warfare alone.

In the original work this was such a difficult dungeon. But we're breaking through without any obstacles.

Then a fork in the road appeared.

"There's a fork. Which way?"

"The Giant Golem is on the right. The left leads to the boss room."

Giant Golem. The trap monster of mechanical dungeons.

According to the Setting Book, killing it gives a good core but makes the boss fight harder.

Unless Si-woo helps.

"Eun-ha!"

"Si-woo?"

The noisy Si-woo appeared from behind.

"Oh, it's Mr. Nagger."

Mr. Nagger. I wonder how a heroine would feel being called that.

"Let's go kill that Giant Golem. Eun-ha can take it down easily."

"Do you want to see me turned into a meat pancake?"

"Just cut it with a magic-immune blade and it's done."

Really? Why are you only telling me such useful info now?

"How does Mr. Nagger know so much? There's not even a guide for this place."

"A Divine Sword User can know anything."

I'm pretty sure this bastard regressed.

Still at the suspicion stage, but I'm thinking his lack of romantic interest in the heroines might be because he fucked them so much in his past life that he reached enlightenment.

Wait, is that really not it?

But if I pull him aside and ask "Did you regress?", who knows how this fucker would react. Better to just hold off for now.

No, wait. If he did regress, where did he regress from?

The world with the original Yoo Eun-ha? Or my world?

That's something to figure out later.

"But why specifically tell me to go kill it?"

"Isn't it obvious? It's a trap boss but killing it gives you a Holy Relic."

Was there something like that?

Come to think of it, there was a Villain who got stronger using a Holy Relic from Mekaland.

At that time, even if they got stronger with Holy Relics, they were still slaughtered since they were up against the already overpowered Divine Sword User Si-woo.

Could we have picked it up then?

"But this path has tons of traps?"

"No need to waste Electronic Warfare on all of them. See that red dot up there? Just destroy that and it's all done."

Bang!

Lee Yoo-jeong followed Si-woo's instructions and destroyed the red dot on the ceiling with Electronic Warfare.

"Divine Sword User, you're amazing."

"Oh stop, you're embarrassing me."

What are you, a schoolgirl? Why are you blushing? It's gross. Should I rip off your balls?

[Intruder detected. Eliminating intruders.]

"Oh, what a stupid looking Golem."

Size-wise it fills the entire wall.

It has miniguns on both arms and missile batteries on its shoulders.

No wonder this is called a C-Class dungeon.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Missiles poured out from the Golem's shoulders.

As expected of a trap monster. I wonder how much power the Villains used trying to clear this.

Using Acceleration and Parallel Circuit, the missiles' positions were obvious.

While dodging missiles and releasing Acceleration, Reina's Spirit Arrow destroyed the missiles and Han Soo-ji's Flame of Purification Spear burned them.

"The missiles keep coming?"

"They're magic missiles created from Magic Power in the first place so it's meaningless. The Golem's circuits can keep making them."

Then we need to drain the Golem's Magic Power.

Since we cleared all the traps, there should be a limit to how much Magic Power the Golem can get.

So that means we need to attack the Golem while dodging or destroying missiles until its Magic Power runs out.

Honestly that's annoying.

I decided to use the Yoo-jeong card.

"Senior Yoo-jeong."

"Yeah."

At my words, Lee Yoo-jeong cut the connection between the missiles on both shoulders and the Golem's core.

To be honest, people watching these dungeon clear videos probably want more dramatic direction.

Like, struggling in battle? But Si-woo seems like he regressed, and I don't want to struggle like in the original either.

When we've got a cheat character right here, why bother?

I'm looking forward to the comments when the video goes up after clearing the dungeon.

Boring, they say? Then I suggest skipping.

The easier we clear it, the more it proves we're capable.

[Warning: Missile function disabled. Adopting alternative attack mode. Kickboxing.]

[Warning: Kickboxing function disabled. Joint damage imminent.]

The Giant Golem creaks like a broken toy doll as it tries to move.

Ah, so this is what "holding" means.

"It's still resisting with its arms though."

"For all the good that'll do."

Mechanical monsters. Golems have overwhelming defense and strength but their bodies are slow.

In other words, they're so damn slow that if you have a way to catch them, they're not hard to clear.

Sphere-shaped Golems came out of the walls but Reina and Han Soo-ji took care of them.

I calmly walked up like I was on a picnic and stabbed my sword into its neck.

Crack!

The sword cut straight down through to the Golem's core.

When its circuits were completely destroyed, its body collapsed leaving only items behind.

"What's this?"

[Learning Device: Golem Creation Technology]

Looking at the description, it says it grants the power to create Golems made by the ancients.

It's definitely tempting but I have no real reason to use it.

If anyone should use it, it would be Lee Yoo-jeong. Since she has no combat ability. Having Golems as support abilities would be good.

"Oh that's interesting."

"Senior Yoo-jeong should use it."

"That seems best. Since you use Electronic Warfare too, Golems might suit you well."

For now I handed the [Learning Device: Golem Creation Technology] to her.

[S-Rank Golem Core: Can turn living beings into Golems, or process them to create good things]

"This seems like you should have it, Eun-ha?"

"You think?"

Since Si-woo was handing it over, I took it for now.

"Since you're the one who caught it. You could probably sell it later for good money."

"You think?"

I can't stay under Jin-seok's shadow forever. This core should help with that at least.

After passing through the trap room, the boss room appeared right away.

This time it was a pretty impressive looking boss room.

An open dome-shaped space. And what appeared was a robot that looked like a Gundam kids would love.

What's more, other Golems came out and attached like parts, turning it into a truly monstrous Gundam.

Whirr-click-click!

[Intruders confirmed-Mission objective confirmed-Will eliminate hostiles.]

"Looks like the traps lead straight to the boss."

This is the worst. Is what I want to say, but we have Divine Sword Si-woo who seems to have regressed and Lee Yoo-jeong who can still use Electronic Warfare.

In the original work, Si-woo got absolutely wrecked in this boss fight.

Mekaland's boss 'Chaos Golem' has absolute defense and it's hard to find its weakness. In the original, Lee Yoo-jeong couldn't properly use Electronic Warfare since she was busy supporting Si-woo and just drained her stamina without being able to help.

Si-woo himself couldn't use Divine Sword's ultimate skill since it was back when his synchronization wasn't working properly.

Moreover, that Golem knows how to violate people. Originally Si-woo gets beaten to a pulp and suffers humiliation at its hands here.

By watching 'seemingly regressed' Si-woo's reaction here, I can confirm whether he regressed or not.

But unlike that, I'm incredibly excited right now.

"Senior, can you use Electronic Warfare?"

"Yeah."

My heart is pounding for this boss fight.

This is what I've been waiting for.

It's a Gundam. A Gundam like the robot toys I used to play with as a kid. That massive Gundam is moving around alive.

Who wouldn't get excited about fighting a Gundam?

"No need for Electronic Warfare."

"Huh?"

Crack!

The boss was instantly cut in half by the synchronized Divine Sword.

"No! My Gundam!"

The dreams and hopes of little boys! My fantasy!

[Choi Si-woo!]

"Don't stop me, Divine Sword. When I think about what that bastard did to me!"

Choi Si-woo grits his teeth and ignores Divine Sword's words as he smashes the Golem to pieces.

That fucker definitely regressed. Let's pretend we didn't notice.

The humiliation he suffered in Mekaland was enough to turn his whole body into a rag.

What popped out of the dead Gundam was a sphere that emitted a brilliant light.

So this is the Ancient Heritage.

[Ancient Heritage (SSS): A holy relic containing the knowledge of the ancients. When bound, the owner can obtain the knowledge of the ancients.]

The item that became the catalyst for the Black Dragon Association's massive growth, which annoyed the Cheonsan Group until late in the original work.

Come to think of it, there's no need to get help from Cheonsan.

Lee Yoo-jeong is already a genius, and Lee Yoo-jin from the Cheonsan Group is someone who almost got manipulated by villains. She's not really someone you can consider an ally, so in the original work she was just an information source that Si-woo used when he needed intel in the early stages.

Now that he's regressed, she's meaningless.

"Wow, that's an amazing drop. Why is a dungeon like this still around? Forget the drops, being C-Class someone should have cleared it."

"Right? Though I hear it only appeared recently."

Han Soo-ji and Reina's reactions were normal.

Getting an SSS-Rank item and Learning Device from just a C-Class dungeon.

"Basically these mechanical dungeons aren't cost effective. They're full of nasty traps and tough monsters plus maze-like layouts. The rewards are terrible."

"But we just got all this from Mekaland?"

"That's just Mekaland. Other dungeons are different. Mechanical dungeons are rarely touched unless S-Class Hunters occasionally stream them."

That was the setting for mechanical dungeons in the original work.

Mechanical dungeons - not just poor cost effectiveness but life-threatening.

Probably only someone like Lee Yoo-jeong could easily destroy dungeons like this.

"Come to think of it, if there are leftover mechanical dungeons. We'll need Senior Yoo-jeong's help going forward."

Even if the cost effectiveness is bad, if we can clear them easily like with Lee Yoo-jeong, the money from first clears and rewards would be insane.

Oh? That doesn't sound bad.

"So. What about the Ancient Heritage? Isn't it a waste to sell?"

"I think Eun-ha should take it."

Si-woo suddenly handed me the Ancient Heritage.

"Take it? This?"

"Yeah. Having it will help you?"

Help my ass, what are you trying to do giving this to me.

Ah. I get it. This bastard is trying to raise my affection points.

In his regression he probably fucked all the other heroines but never got to taste me. So now he wants to at least taste my hole that he missed out on.

What a vile bastard. Acting all innocent while thinking such things.

Still, I'm the type to gladly accept freebies.

Having the Ancient Heritage could increase my survival chances too.

"What about Senior and Soo-ji and Reina?"

It's SSS-Rank after all. Feels wrong to decide alone.

"Um, shouldn't we sell it?"

"Yeah. Boss drops are supposed to be split evenly, that's the unwritten rule."

"Eun-ha seems uncomfortable too, don't get any weird ideas."

The heroines all had different reactions. Why are they glaring at Si-woo specifically?

Si-woo looked between me and the heroines like he was wronged, then quietly gathered just the heroines to talk.

"No, that's not what I meant."

After some whispering, the heroines pushed Si-woo aside and spoke to me.

"Ah, if it's for Eun-ha then I guess we have no choice."

"Right. Yoo Eun-ha. I'm specially giving this up so accept it humbly."

"I didn't mind Eun-ha having it from the start."

As expected of the protagonist. His ability to persuade heroines is no joke.

And that goddamn protagonist bastard is determined to eat me up now that he's regressed, launching this gift offensive.

Am I going to get pounced on? Should I wear a chastity belt?
