Chapter 7: A Fiery First Love

The red-haired girl with hair like burning flames made a vow when she entered the Academy.

Choi Si-woo, chosen by the Constellation as a Divine Sword User. She swore she wouldn't lose to either Choi Si-woo, effectively called the second Divine Sword, or Yoo Eun-ha, sister of the current Divine Sword User Yoo Jin-seok.

There was one reason.

Her master Kim Jae-soo. The famous S-Class Sword Master Hunter in the Republic of Korea. The person who took her in after she lost her parents to a Monster near a Gate.

And the truly gracious person who raised her as the successor of the Flame Spear.

That person had one particular obsession above all else.

He desperately wanted to defeat Yoo Jin-seok, who had risen to the ranks of Hero simply by being a Divine Sword User despite starting after him. But he said he could never win due to their absolute difference in power.

So the girl made a vow.

She would defeat Choi Si-woo, called the second Divine Sword, and Yoo Eun-ha, the Divine Sword's sister who carried everyone's expectations.

And ultimately, she would defeat Yoo Jin-seok, the first Divine Sword User.

But from day one, the girl lost to both of them in the ability test.

1. Yoo Eun-ha9999

2. Reina1459

3. Choi Si-woo1124

4. Park Ji-soo1114

5. Han Soo-ji1057

She couldn't believe the initial ability test results.

This is bullshit. How the hell can someone score 9999?

Ah, clearly Yoo Eun-ha must have cheated using her brother's influence. There's no way the disciple of "Flame Kim Jae-soo" would place 5th otherwise.

But even so, she still lost to Choi Si-woo too.

This was humiliating.

And then the time for revenge approached.

The very next day, there was practice sparring using abilities.

Those without abilities practiced among themselves. Those with abilities had matches to gauge each other's strength and determine superiority.

Choi Si-woo, befitting a Divine Sword User, rose up defeating other ability users, while Yoo Eun-ha won without even using abilities by provoking her opponents.

While Choi Si-woo was one thing, Yoo Eun-ha was clearly just putting on airs.

Having completely revised my assessment of Yoo Eun-ha, I reached the final battle with Choi Si-woo.

"Choi Si-woo. I've been wanting to fight you!"

"Ahaha. Did I do something to make you hate me?"

Looking at his appearance, he's like some pretty boy host. Just a guy who thinks he's righteous and mistakenly believes he's amazing.

This bastard drew his Divine Sword.

I too faced off against Choi Si-woo, wielding the Flame of Purification Spear inherited from my master Hunter Kim Jae-soo.

"Don't get cocky just because you have a Divine Sword! I'll definitely take down both you and Yoo Eun-ha!"

I'll win no matter what. Definitely.

"Damn. Me alone is one thing, but Eun-ha too? Isn't that unfair?"

This Si-woo bastard must have fallen for that show-off Eun-ha, no doubt about it.

Someone aiming to be a Hunter will only grow weak falling into romance like this.

I have zero intention of losing to these lovey-dovey bastards.

"Hmph! You're just obstacles in my way! I'll quickly take you down and then make that white-haired bitch kneel!"

"Don't call my friend a white-haired bitch!"

"Hmph, just come at me."

The battle that began was fierce.

If there hadn't been restrictions since it was practice, we would have fought to the death.

Clang! Clang! King!

But things started going strangely.

Soo-ji was evaluated as having superior capabilities to Kim Jae-soo as his disciple.

Yet she's losing to Si-woo. She's being pushed back by someone who was merely chosen by the Constellation without any proper master.

"Kuh!"

Soo-ji tried to resist until the end but it was her limit.

No matter how many times sword and spear clashed, she kept getting pushed back.

Someone once said that when two fighters are equal, the spear would win. Yet here she was, getting overwhelmed by a sword.

She had to admit it. This was an inevitable defeat.

The moment she accepted it, Soo-ji ended up dropping the Flame of Purification Spear from her hands.

Si-woo, now wearing a refreshing victor's smile, had his sword pointed close.

Though she hated to admit it, the fact of her defeat couldn't be changed. Just as Soo-ji was about to declare surrender, Si-woo sheathed his sword first and raised both hands.

"Let's stop here. I surrender."

"What?"

She couldn't understand. Surrender?

Don't tell me this is some pathetic pity?

"Defeating you isn't just my role. It's also Eun-ha's role who you insulted. I believe in ladies first."

But it wasn't even pity. He's telling her to face Eun-ha.

This was its own kind of humiliation.

Fine then, I'll do it. Soo-ji steeled her resolve and gripped her spear again.

And when the Instructor gave permission, she began sparring with Eun-ha.

"Si-woo. I may have lost to that bastard, but I won't lose to you!"

This time I'll definitely win. Absolutely. I can't lose to a cheating bitch like her.

But Eun-ha maintained her characteristic expressionless face at my provocation.

As if saying someone like you isn't worth my attention.

After staring at me indifferently for a while, she soon raised her head to look at the sky.

"The sky is quite bright today."

"What?"

"On a day like this, it would be troublesome to just watch while a crazy bitch jumps around not knowing her place."

Is she talking about me? This fraud of a girl.

"You sure talk big with that mouth. Won't it hurt less if you get skewered by my spear?"

At my words, she kept her head up and just rolled her eyes that were looking at the sky to look at me.

"They say a beating is the medicine for a mad dog."

Eun-ha didn't pay me any attention, didn't respond to my words, and just fixed her posture before drawing out a knife from her chest.

"Acting all high and mighty! You think you can beat me with just a knife?"

"Will you make the sky I'm looking at darker? Or will you make it brighter?"

What the hell is she saying?

Just as I was about to respond to her meaningless words, the Instructor hit the ground with his bat.

"Alright, both of you stop talking and begin!"

Beep!

Right. I can't lose to a bitch like her either. With the sole determination to win, I charged forward with flames surrounding my Flame of Purification Spear.

That Eun-ha bitch isn't moving at all. I can win. That's what I thought, but

Thud!

Suddenly I felt pain in my lower abdomen.

Eun-ha, who had been waving around a knife, had somehow punched me in the stomach.

"Kuk?"

"At this moment, I'm very glad that I'm Yoo Eun-ha."

Thud!

"Better than a man hitting a woman."

Thud!

Her speed is too fast. No room to resist. Isn't she even faster than Yoo Jin-seok, also known by his other alias "Flash"?

"A woman hitting a woman looks better, don't you think?"

"Eek!"

"Too slow."

Easily dodging my final strike, she whispered in my ear.

[I've been waiting for this moment.]

Before I could counter-attack, she slipped through my opening and kneed me in the stomach, then put me in a position like a parent spanking a misbehaving child's bottom as punishment.

"W-what, what are you going to do. S-stop. I was wr-"

No way, right? That's what I thought, but Eun-ha completely betrayed my expectations and spanked my ass with her hand.

Smack!

Eun-ha's hand stung. I could barely even speak properly and just stammered.

How can a hand sting this much. And why is Eun-ha choosing to humiliate me like this.

"Didn't mommy tell you not to bully friends at school!"

"Ack! Why are you acting like my mom-"

"How dare you talk back! Take this!"

Smack smack!

"Have you learned your lesson? Or not?"

"I was wr- I was wrong! I won't bully friends anymore! Huuung! Please stop hitting me!"

Smack smack!

"Think of this as tough love I'm giving you!"

"Hiccup!"

She spanked my ass countless times, even though I told her to stop.

But, though it should hurt, the pain started feeling strangely good.

"Hnng. Hnng. Hnnng."

Moans leaked from my mouth without me realizing.

Soo-ji tried her best to hold it in, but it wasn't easy. What is this? Why am I making these sounds without even meaning to?

After getting beaten like that for a while, Soo-ji apologized to Eun-ha in a daze and ran out of the sparring grounds crying.

And later after coming to her senses, she apologized to Si-woo.

Thinking about it now, he really was handsome and gentlemanly. Though he was a Divine Sword User, Soo-ji rationalized to herself that it was okay to like him since he wasn't Yoo Jin-seok.

So she apologized to Si-woo but.

"Don't just apologize to me, tell Eun-ha you're sorry too."

"Okay."

Si-woo told her to apologize to Eun-ha too, but that didn't quite work out.

Suddenly thinking that Si-woo seemed to be protecting Eun-ha more than necessary, she went to meet Eun-ha much later than the promised time.

And that day she regretted that she should have just apologized to Eun-ha and left.

Chook

She was a les. A lesbian. A woman who likes women.

At first when she saw her openly smoking, she thought such a woman didn't suit Si-woo and was going to give her a piece of her mind. Of course, apologizing was a separate matter.

But this woman Eun-ha said she had no interest in Si-woo.

Rather, she liked women, and Soo-ji herself had been in her prey sights.

Suddenly receiving an adult kiss, Soo-ji could only be on the receiving end. Moreover, Eun-ha seemed used to this as she naturally moved from kissing to playing with her chest and under her skirt.

Han Soo-ji. One of Si-woo's heroines in the original work, her first kiss tasted like cigarettes.

And she ended up awakening to the world of yuri.
