Challenges

I’d spent quite a lot of points raising my stamina stat in The Traditional Hero Story. The cost per point rose exponentially, so it had been a hefty expense. I planned to use this opportunity to test out the challenges and earn some points. There were plenty that looked difficult, but plenty that seemed doable, so I was confident.

“What? Unlike achievements, I have to choose these beforehand and then clear them?”

I had to choose up to two challenges before entering ‘Heroine Netori,’ and I wouldn’t earn points for any challenges I completed without selecting them first. It felt a little unfair, but what could I do? I had to follow the rules. At least I didn’t have to choose just one.

To save points, I first chose the ‘Complete a Mission with Everything Randomized’ challenge. I’d succeeded at it several times before, so it seemed doable. I also chose ‘Complete a Mission Without Tips.’ Each challenge was worth 50,000 points, so clearing them this time would get me an extra 100,000 points on top of the usual reward.

“This is an absolute steal.”

At this rate, I’d be rich in points in no time.

“Then, shall I go in?”

Imagining all the points I’d earn, I started ‘Heroine Netori.’
