The fairy had given them a mission to fight and even declared she’d kill them all if they didn’t kill one another within an hour. But the cowards who hadn’t even managed to kill a single kobold wouldn’t budge. Instead, they quietly fiddled with the weapons in their hands, watching one another.

They were clearly afraid of drawing attention by making the first move. But in my opinion, that was foolish.

Killing kobolds gave you experience, so why wouldn’t killing people? Someone was bound to die and throw everything into chaos eventually. It was obviously better to rack up some experience before that happened.

“Yaaawn~ This is boring. Ellis, you should make things more interesting. Remember the titjob I taught you yesterday? Try doing it yourself today.”

But even after fifteen minutes had passed, they still hadn’t made a move. It was such a boring standoff that I might’ve fallen asleep watching if Ellis hadn’t been here. Were they going to stand there doing nothing for an hour and all die together? It was a reasonable concern.

No, that was a foolish concern. Right, their lives were on the line. They had to do something if they wanted to survive. One of the Survival Group members broke the long silence and spoke up.

“How about we draw lots to decide who gets to survive? If we fight with weapons, we could all die, and even if we survived, we might be badly injured!”

But as expected of the Survival Group, they came up with a stupid idea...
