I sent word to Sophia through one of the manor’s servants that I’d be late, then headed to the sitting room where Louise was waiting.

It was already late, and I was tired, so I’d planned to head back to the inn and spend some sweet time with Sophia. But thanks to Louise’s fervent determination, we decided to start the lessons right away.
