'God' is a spiritual being who serves as a source of strength to believers above all others. Even without revealing themselves directly, believers firmly believe that the gods exist, and they spread the gods' teachings to benefit the world.

However, that was only true of 'Earth.' In this world, gods truly existed, so it was impossible to deny them. The moment someone openly denied the gods, divine punishment descended, and they revealed their existence through a special power called 'divine power.'

Thus, denying the gods was impossible in this world, which became the catalyst for the great development of 'theology.' Theology was an extremely important field of study for everyone in this world, regardless of race, and it was one of the things every priest had to learn.

However, even though theology had developed, it still had many shortcomings. It mainly dealt with how to correctly interpret divine revelations and what teachings the gods had given their followers throughout history.

It could be described as disorganized, or as lacking a 'framework.' Throughout history, countless scholars and sages had devoted enormous effort to creating that 'framework,' but almost all of them had given up.

The history of the gods living alongside humans was far longer than anyone could imagine, and the sheer number of teachings people had received from them throughout that history made them extremely difficult to organize.

For that reason, theology could also be regarded as a kind of history, but many priests firmly believed that an opportunity to reorganize the discipline would come someday. Not merely the history of the gods living alongside humanity, but true 'theology.'

And now, the fruit of that long wait was finally beginning to ripen.
