Although my mind had gone blank after experiencing Marie's spicy side for the first time, I did not stop walking toward the estate.

Even so, since we were still walking arm in arm, the heat in my face showed no sign of fading. No matter how much I pretended to be calm, there was little point, as Marie had said—the embarrassment was written all over my face.

"Poke. Poke."

"Don't."

"No. I'm going to do it some more."

Marie kept poking my face with her finger and teasing me. Even when I told her to stop, she simply smiled brightly and ignored me.

When I asked why, she said she was curious whether red liquid would come out, or something like that. It was so absurd that all I could do was let out a hollow laugh.

In the end, I had no choice but to give in. It was not particularly unpleasant, and it was simply Marie's way of showing affection, so I decided to let her have her fun...
