“Sorry? Don't be. You don't have to go out of your way to buy a gift. Come on in.”

Having received Midori's warm welcome, I took off my shoes with a beaming smile.

After putting on the slippers and entering the house, Miyuki said to Midori.

“Mom, I'm going to study with Matsuda-kun, so don't interrupt us.”

“Study? Are you getting ready for midterms?”

“Yeah.”

“Aren't you even going to have some fruit?”

“Fruit? Give it to me now. I'll take it upstairs.”...
