Sunlight streamed in through the window amid the gentle lighting.

Blinking, I raised my upper body, then stared blankly for a moment at the unfamiliar wooden walls around me.

"Ah, right..."

I was used to seeing the metal walls of the train whenever I woke after sleeping in the bed in the cab, so seeing wooden walls and furniture had caught me off guard.

It seemed I still had not adapted to the environment of the newly created sleeper car.

One thing was certain: I had slept much more deeply than usual.

The coziness and the rocking were different.

Normally, when traveling by train, a characteristic heavy rocking would run through it the moment the train arrived at its destination and came to a stop on the tracks.
