“…If you’re having fun, that’s all that matters.”

For a while, all that came from the goddess was laughter.

Perhaps the languid atmosphere had made me smile, too.

Then, in a low voice, I offered the goddess an apology.

“I’m sorry, Goddess.”

I hadn’t realized she’d be that hurt.

I was sorry I hadn’t explained things properly.

There was no excuse padded with pretty words.

Instead, all I offered was one sincere apology.
