Since it could move its roots, it wasn’t entirely impossible.

But Rookie seemed frustrated by my reaction, so it plucked up a flower with its short arms and pretended to run away.

I had no trouble understanding the gesture.

“You’re saying a thief came? And pulled up a tree?”

“Krorong!”

Only then did Rookie repeatedly nod.

It was such an unbelievable story that it was no wonder I was dumbfounded.

But that lasted only a moment. I soon came to my senses and scolded it.

“For now, unless you want to get in trouble, plant the flower back where it was.”...
