The Day of the Expedition

The morning was busier than I expected.

Since we had to leave at six, Unni woke up around five, and I slept for another ten minutes before getting up.

There hadn't been time to make anything, so someone had heated up convenience-store lunch boxes. They tasted better than I expected, though.

I didn't need to worry about getting dressed since a little fire took care of it for me, and I wouldn't have to put on armor, either, so I took a quick look around Unni's room.

'So many cosmetics...'

There was a large mirror, with all sorts of cosmetics sitting on the counter beneath it or tucked away in the drawers.

I think I'd heard that women take quite a while just to put on makeup. I don't, since I'm not interested in it.

One of the drawers was slightly open, so I went to close it, but there was something like a case inside.

'Huh?'

Something that looked like a piece of paper lay beside it, so it caught my eye right away. A letter, maybe...
