Something Did Happen

Sawako was at a loss for words at the sight of Joo So-jeong panting beside her.

She'd only been playing on her phone while it charged, but after two hours, something had gone wrong.

Hunched beneath the covers, So-jeong's face was flushed and burning as she panted for breath. Every time a hand brushed her skin, she jerked violently. There was clearly something wrong with her.

"Ugh... S-Sawako..."

"S-So-jeong? What happened to you!?"

"I don't knooow... I've been hot since this morning... Even dying a few times didn't make it go away. It just got worse... hic..."

So-jeong's usually expressionless face was tearful now, her eyes glistening as she whimpered and flinched whenever Sawako touched her.
