Meeting a Demon

If I remember right, Red Gates are meant to release monsters into the outside world and directly inflict great damage on humanity... or something like that.

They say that as you climb the Tower, you might end up experiencing something similar to the early Red Gate incidents...

"Then is that one of those, too?"

-Wow, this takes me back

-There were tons of those disasters in places like China and Mongolia

-Africa and the Americas too

-This is what it looks like when a Red Gate opens in a wilderness or on a plain. Damn

I was on the 51st floor of the 100-floor Tower.

I hadn't checked their names... but monsters that brought water buffalo to mind filled the plain, marching straight toward me without hesitation. They acted more like bison, though.

They weren't running as fast as if they had jet engines attached, but with that many of them charging in, they could trample or smash through just about anything in their way...
