When does a blacksmith's inspiration come gushing forth?

I've lived as a blacksmith for over ten years now, so I have a fairly firm answer to that question.

First, when a client with clear requirements comes to see you.

― I need a spear that can pierce any shield.

― The thing sealed in my left hand has been acting up lately. Make me a gauntlet that can keep it in line.

In cases like these, the problem to solve is crystal clear.

In other words, when I run simulations in my head, imagining all sorts of methods and solutions to achieve that goal, inspiration keeps welling up, one idea leading to another.

And then, some brilliant idea I never would have thought of normally suddenly pops into my head—bam!

Above all, there's the unique rush of solving a difficult problem.

Anyway, even when they don't ask for any special functions or options, there's no problem...
