Oscar Felt.

He was the head of Helix Pharmatech and the person in overall charge of the Etherlyn commercialization plan.

Though he had never been a young genius, Oscar Felt had always been more suited to a laboratory.

He had never set out intending to change the world. Nor did he possess any grand convictions.

Research into creating an auxiliary substance to alleviate the symptoms of mana depletion. That was where it began.

High-tier ACU users often complained that their circuits overheated after combat or lengthy computations, or that they felt fatigued as though their nervous systems were drying up. Most of them entered expensive treatment capsules or called in personal medical teams to recover.

But mid-sized pharmaceutical companies like Helix Pharmatech targeted the gaps in that market.

Faster recovery. Shorter rest. Longer work.

Until then, Oscar had not thought he was doing anything bad. Fatigue-recovery drugs and mana-depletion remedies. At least on the surface, neither was a bad goal. By Magitera's standards, it was a fairly wholesome business.
