It takes about fifteen days of traveling by carriage, day and night, to reach the capital.
Aside from changing horses in the small towns along the way, we didn't make any particular stops in other cities.

Still, we needed to choose somewhere to stop at least once to resupply and rest, and on this trip we decided to stay in Blasheim, known as the City of Flowers.
The most important reason we chose to stay here was that Blasheim is a free city, so we wouldn't have to get caught up in tiresome political entanglements while accepting a territorial noble's hospitality.
Of course, even in a free city, the mayor and other local bigwigs would still entertain us. But we didn't have to worry about political rivalries with them—we could just open our wallets wide as wealthy tourists and be done with it.
Tourism. That was the second reason we'd specifically chosen to visit this city, but……
