Ludwig said, looking at the students.

“The mission I’d like to ask of you is to lay the groundwork for a search.”

“Groundwork?”

“I’d like to entrust you students with finding a clue to help track down the missing Benny Calliostro.”

The quiet was punctuated by several exchanged glances among the students, mostly between classmates.
