Secret Friend

I slowly scanned the silent hall, gauging the situation inwardly.

‘Hmm… There doesn’t seem to be a suitable target.’

Everyone my gaze fell upon flinched as though they had something to feel guilty about…

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a third target.

To snipe someone, I needed three conditions to be met.

First, the target had to be someone who had disclosed information at the symposium. Pointing out someone who hadn’t revealed anything out of nowhere would be highly suspicious.

Second, there had to be clear information in their status window that could rattle them and identify them. I needed something related to the information they had revealed so I could piece together at least a rough scenario.

Third, they had to be someone who had appeared in articles about abnormal Gates. With Celestia beside me, I couldn’t inexplicably know the target’s personal details. It was better if they were famous, since the more their activities were known, the more detail I could add to the scenario.

Anyway, because all three basic conditions had to be met, I couldn’t find a suitable target… and the symposium’s time limit ran out.
