World of Arseria’s Arena is divided into 1v1, 3v3, and 6v6.
Of these, 3v3 was an event-style game mode without a ranking system—in LoL terms, something like “Howling Abyss Hell”—so people’s main interest lay in the one-on-one Solo Ranked and six-on-six Arena Ranked modes.
However, unlike ‘Legacy of Legends’ or the now-shut-down ‘Storm of Time and Space 2,’ WoA’s Arena system did not have every player’s character start with identical stats and potential.
The minimum Combat Power required to enter the Arena was 10,000.
In other words, you had to raise a character you had trained in Story Mode to at least 10,000 Combat Power before you could enter the Arena.
Take Silver II, the tier above the median, as an example.
People in this tier generally began the game with characters possessing between 20,000 and 25,000 Combat Power.
Although their detailed stats varied wildly from person to person, WoA’s Combat Power became the most reasonable indicator for estimating one’s expected win rate in a one-on-one situation.
Even two identical warriors could be born with different stats: one with 1,000 Attack Power and another with 1,150. It was like having an extra sword in hand.
Assuming they grew at the same rate, the gap between them widened with every level...
