“Not an act, but real?”
I looked at Liana, a little surprised by her words.
Liana's face flushed crimson, as if embarrassed by having said such a thing. “I-It’s nothing much. I just thought it would be better to do something *real* if we’re going to fool them.”
I had no idea what she was planning, and I was about to ask, but the Vampire was about to approach, so I decided to act first rather than ponder.
“Then, I’ll leave it to you.”
To be honest, I had agreed more out of curiosity about what Liana would do, regardless of the Vampire. But I couldn’t say that directly, so I just nodded.
“...Then, if you’ll excuse me for a moment.”
With those words, Liana pressed a long kiss to my cheek. I froze for a moment, inhaling the strong scent of her cosmetics. Then, from nearby, I heard the Vampire's voice, “M-My apologies,” followed by the sound of him fleeing.
As I felt Liana’s breath tickle my cheek, thinking it was rather pleasant, Liana spoke with an awkward smile.
