“Terrorism, Sword Master murder, theft, and even stealing the crown... you’re quite something, aren’t you?”
Liana let out a hollow laugh, as if the situation was simply amusing. Then, with a sigh, she spoke to me.
“Anyway, you’ve worked hard. I’ve prepared a room where you can focus on your recovery, along with food and things to help heal internal injuries. All you need to do now is go in and rest.”
At her words, I nodded gratefully and was about to head towards the place Liana had prepared, when Shiren came chasing after me, clinging tightly.
“Shiren?”
“...I’m coming too.”
It seemed this was the first time I’d been so severely injured, as Shiren refused to leave my side, sticking to me like glue. It was as if the possessiveness that had first emerged when I rescued Shiren had resurfaced. I stroked Shiren’s head to calm her, but she shook her head and continued to follow me.
