Opening the Window

I hurriedly approached the window.

I practically tore away the yellow-stained curtain that felt unpleasant to touch. Through the window, only distorted silhouettes were visible due to the thick layer of dust.

I pulled the rusty handle.

Screech-

That brief movement was all. It was as if the window frame and sash had been glued together.

“Ugh, shit.”

When I applied all my strength once again, the stuck window frame finally rattled and began to move. As I pushed open the gap where rust powder fell like rain, the outside scenery came into view.

Oh, man.

And I was speechless at the overwhelming sight.

A wave. It was literally a wave. In the face of the current of diseased things that was like a Natural Disaster, artificial barriers were meaningless...
