Is this... right?

Is what I'm looking at really a girl?

A girl who looks so normal in a world where everything has become abnormal? I instinctively realized that there was no way she could be normal. Not a single thing about this made sense.

Maybe that girl was the reason the monsters had just fled. Hadn't they hurried off in one direction right before she appeared? Besides, she's casually walking barefoot through this insane world... In a situation where even combat boots wouldn't be enough, she's barefoot. That's clearly abnormal.

She has taken the form of a girl, but she seems far more likely to actually be some terrifying entity.

Frozen with fear, I stood there staring at her, and the girl who had been waving stopped. Then she tilted her head, as if wondering why I was standing still.

At this point, I felt like I had been presented with an insane choice.

Should I return her greeting?

Or should I close the door...
