A sacred-looking light.

A pure-white shell.

Those two words brought a single keyword to mind.

"A saint?"

Right.

This was the full story of the vampire incident I'd heard from the nun in the previous cycle. Secriem knew this was a cult city, and so he plotted something.

Along the way, a saint appeared among those cultists, and the nun had said that a saint like that was an extremely valuable meal for vampires.

Hadn't she said that corrupting someone with faith on the level of a saint into a vampire would give them tremendous power?

In any case, in the previous cycle, Secriem turned that saint into a vampire... and for some reason, Guhanak descended into the body of the saint who had become a vampire. With all his followers having turned into ghouls and vampires, he'd transformed into a veritable Vampire Angel, and that whole fucking mess had happened.
