Saladin (1)

I have felt this burning divine power before.

"Saladin."

But how?

How did he know I was in Avensha's hideout and come here? Could he have tracked me while I was out and about?

Avensha may die whenever something happens, but she is a capable mage. She is extremely well versed in infiltrating human society and evading pursuit.

Even when we traveled around, I had maintained sufficient security with magic, so how on earth did he find us?

There are two possibilities.

One. Saladin had already been reading the movements of Avensha and the other mages. He did not attack immediately because he considered us small fry, or because he intended to hunt us down as a group.

Two. He tracked us through some other method.

Both possibilities are highly plausible, so I cannot make a hasty judgment. Still, considering religious people's hatred of mages, the first option seems unlikely. Back then, he had immediately summoned me to Mecca and beheaded me. Besides, given Saladin's personality, he would never simply overlook a great mage like me...
