A notification that my death count was nearing 30. The instant I saw it, an extreme sense of crisis seized me, along with the sensation that my soul was crumpling.

My current death count is 31(-2). Since it was lowered by two, it is currently 29. The status window told me that if I died just once more here, my death count would "become" 30.

What happens when it reaches 30...?

Will this unknown death penalty return in some horrible form?

It was not entirely unexpected. The status window had a function that lowered the death count. Even while saying it was useless, I had secretly been anxious. That was why I had always been careful.

The status window's warnings are absolute.
