I Can't Be Without You

“Because if you're by my side, I'll start wanting to hold on to you.”

Renoa squeezed those words out with difficulty.

Leon tilted his head as though he didn't understand.

“Well, if you want to hold on to me, you can. Though I can't say whether you'll catch me.”

Seeing Leon speak so calmly, Renoa furrowed her brow deeply.

“Don't you resent me?”

“For what reason?”

“I abandoned you and ran away. I ordered you to fight even though I knew you wouldn't make it back.”

“But I came back alive and well, didn't I? In the end, things worked out, didn't they?”

“That's not what I'm talking about!”...
