We had a late breakfast and lunch at one of the restaurants on Sis’s “Married Couples’ Dining-Out List.”
It was a café tucked away in a corner of downtown, with no sign out front.
Like most places touted as popular on social media, it seemed to care more about the interior than the food.
“Mm! It was pretty good, right, honey?”
“Yeah.”
It was something like an English breakfast—or some kind of Western-style set meal, anyway.
The food was pretty average, but it definitely looked nice.
Maybe because it was raining, we were the only customers, so it was nice to take our time eating.
“But, you know, it’s not somewhere I’d come back to.”
“I thought the same thing.”...
