Because I couldn’t understand this sudden bombshell.

I stopped Chloe, who was lifting one of the wings covering Lucy, before she could add anything, and asked.

“You say you can feel divine power? I can’t feel a thing from it, let alone divine power.”

If Lucy’s coffin really contained divine power as Chloe claimed,

it would make no sense that neither Huey nor Lucy, to say nothing of me, had noticed.
