I looked at the enormous stone statue standing tall ahead of us, which must have been about five meters high.
It was about twice the size of the ones we had fought just before we ended up like this.
“They say it was used as a sentry in ancient fortresses or something.”
An ancient guardian with a body so sturdy that ordinary attacks couldn’t even scratch it.
The problem wasn’t merely that it was tough; since it wasn’t even alive to begin with, it was an unbelievably troublesome thing.
“Why is something like that here?”
“What should we do? Should we fight it?”
If only I could at least wield a sword, I wouldn’t have cared how many gargoyles came charging out.
“It’d probably be best if we avoided fighting, if possible.”...
