Falling Star

Once again, I savored the sunlight shining down from a clear blue sky.

“By the way.”

I spoke up to Huey, who had been quietly walking through the dense forest without saying a word for some time.

“Are you really sure it’s okay to leave like this?”

He said he’d already finished saying his goodbyes everywhere he’d been traveling.

Yet, when it came to Cheon-yu, he’d apparently kept quiet until this morning.

“Yeah. Cheon-yu looked completely devastated.”

He’d told me not to tell Cheon-yu because he wanted to deliver the news himself.

Cheon-yu’s expression this morning had been so intense that I almost regretted simply taking his word for it.

“…Cheon-yu will have to be okay. What else can I do?”...
