Human history can be summarized in two lines.

1. Boil water!

2. Turn a turbine to generate electricity!

…though summarizing it all like that would deny the history of science. Anyway.

Solar thermal, fossil-fuel, geothermal, nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, and so on.

Haven't we always boiled water with something that emits heat and used it to turn a generator's turbine?

“You have to go through the stages of concentrating, collecting, and generating, in that order….”

“There you go again, Young Lord, talking about things only you know!”

That meant solar thermal power should be achievable here as well.

Running a thermal power plant would be fine too… but elves probably aren't fond of burning things...
